So... in 1975 my (then) wife Janet went into labour and we were taken by ambulance from Ockendon to Orsett hospital she wasn't in the labour ward very long and things seemed to be going well till in the early hours of the morning of the 7th when in the midst of a bustling team of health-care, I had been prepared' had on my paper gown and hat and was ushered into the labour room; with a mixture of excitement and agitated wonder.
